Jenny Kalliokulju (b. 1986) is an artist and writer based in Bjuv (Sweden).
In her practice, Kalliokulju explores different forms of multi-layered storytelling through text, painting, sculpture, performance, and installation – often with existential questions, everyday life, memories, and time as a starting point. In terms of form, Kalliokulju's work is often a collaboration (real of fictitious) with other beings (artists, writers, researchers, historical figures, nature, and mythological beings). In her work, these collaborations form a choir and a dialogue together, which evokes a universal state of existential reflection and a striving for co-existence.
Her work has been supported by Konstnärsnämnden|The Swedish Arts Grants Committee, Grosse treffen, Arts Promotion Centre Finland, Finnish Cultural Foundation, Frame, Kone foundation, Nordic Culture Point and Nordisk Kulturfond.
